Have you ever woken up one day and knew in the depths of your soul that your life would never be the same? A life you could never have even imagined all of the sudden presents itself to you, and you know with every part of your being that you must say Yes?
That happened to me when I first met Yosemite. It felt like I was reborn into a whole new life, and everything I had experienced or imagined about my life before that was all of the sudden a distant memory. 18 years old and hungry to explore, I dropped everything in my east coast suburban life at the time and decided to move into a tent by the river and explore Yosemite’s high country for a summer. That first summer turned into a decade of calling Tuolumne Meadows home, and falling deeper and deeper in love wth the magic of the Sierra and the seasonal lifestyle migrations between the Valley, the High Country and the East Side.
Living in the Range of Light has been a gift beyond my wildest dreams. Adventure, inspiration, exploration, creative energy, all on the daily menu. Not only have I fallen in love with the natural world and an outdoor lifestyle, but it’s heightened my appreciation of beauty, and through its unique culture instilled in me a deep reverence for traveling and a profound appreciation of the art of life.
